How is Deep TMS different from medication?+
It isn’t a drug. Instead of adding a chemical that takes weeks to act and carries systemic side effects, a targeted magnetic field stimulates the brain networks involved in depression directly — drug-free, with nothing to metabolize.
What is the “accelerated protocol”?+
Rather than spreading treatment across six weeks, the accelerated protocol compresses sessions into a much shorter window — making a full course practical even for an executive flying in for a few days. The 2026 SWIFT trial studied its long-term durability.
Does it hurt? What does a session feel like?+
Most people describe a tapping sensation on the scalp. Sessions are about three minutes, you’re awake and alert the whole time, and you walk out and back to your day — no sedation, no recovery.
Is it safe?+
