Safety & what to expect
BrainsWay Deep TMS is FDA-cleared (510(k)) — a targeted magnetic field, not a molecule. Nothing enters your bloodstream. Every protocol is reviewed by our board-certified medical director before treatment begins.
FDA clearance & profile
What the evidence says about safety.
FDA-cleared (510(k)) and non-invasive — no anesthesia, no implants, no medication.
The most common side effects are mild and temporary, such as scalp discomfort or headache that typically eases over the first sessions.
You stay awake and alert; there’s no sedation and no downtime, so you can drive yourself and return to work.
Eligibility and every protocol are reviewed and overseen by our board-certified medical director.
510(k) cleared
BrainsWay Deep TMS holds FDA 510(k) clearance for major depressive disorder, anxious depression, and OCD — a non-invasive, drug-free device with a well-established safety record.
No systemic load
Because nothing enters your bloodstream, Deep TMS avoids the systemic side-effect profile of antidepressants — no weight gain, sexual dysfunction, or emotional blunting from medication.
Medical director oversight
Eligibility, contraindications, and every treatment protocol are reviewed and overseen by our board-certified medical director — not a generic intake script.
Not appropriate for everyone
Metallic implants near the treatment area, certain seizure histories, and other conditions may affect eligibility. That is why a consultation comes first — not an online quiz. We will tell you clearly whether Deep TMS is appropriate for you.
Questions, answered
Is Deep TMS safe?+

Does it hurt? What does a session feel like?+
Most people describe a tapping sensation on the scalp. Sessions are about three minutes, you’re awake and alert the whole time, and you walk out and back to your day — no sedation, no recovery.
Do I need anesthesia or sedation?+
No. Deep TMS is non-invasive and performed while you’re fully awake. You can drive yourself to and from appointments and return to work immediately afterward.
Who reviews my eligibility?+
